Bedroom Beauty - 2 - Rachel

Rachel Collins is yet another one of my recommended "Must-Shoots" for all photographers out there.  She is another natural beauty and super laid back.

As you should know by now, I shoot the models at their homes.  In their environment.  Therefore, I spend time with their family and animals or whoever drops in for a visit.  I met Rachel's son, Richard, her cat, Karma and her dog, Popeye.  Each one was just as laid back and lovable as Rachel.  Richard was actually supposed to be taking his afternoon nap, but as soon as he heard his mom and I talking he was in the room with us.

He took every opportunity to get in a photo with his mom or by himself.  Of course, who wouldn't want to take a photo of them together?!  It's always great to see the love between a mother and child.

A little about this set of the series
The comfort of a bedroom.  The alone time, family time, pet time.  Relaxing after your most extreme moments of the day.  Getting a chance to enjoy the little things!

Bedroom Beauty - 1 - Mary Jane

This woman is amazing!  She has been a friend for many years and I have witnessed her grow into such a mature young lady!  When I contacted Mary Jane Burthe about being my first model in a series I am starting she didn't hesitate.  All she said was "let me know what you need me to do and the date you want to be here".

I showed up a little later than planned this morning but there were no complaints.  In fact, she was finishing up her run around to keep her little boys happy; feeding them, playing with them and then putting them to bed for their afternoon nap.  We discussed more of the concept as she rushed to clean her kitchen then she put on her makeup, outfit and we got started!

A little about this set of the series
Bedroom Beauty!  The playfulness of a woman toward her significant other.  It's all about the brightness, smiles, flirting.  To feel her love through the photo.  I think Mary Jane nailed it and I hope I did just as good a job capturing this moment.  Let me know what you think.
